Licensed Private Hire Car Association
The Licensed Private Hire Car Association is a trade association representing Private Hire Vehicle Operators. It started life representing Private Hire Operators only in London. It now however independently visits hundreds of Minicab, Chauffeur and Executive Car Companies including some Taxi Operators in more and more parts of the UK Member Companies are Graded up to 5 Star, with a series of 'status indicators' for companies able to demonstrate special services like Chauffeur, Executive or Disabled Vehicle provision.
The LPHCA also seeks to promote and encourage high levels of service, safety and standards to provide the travelling public with a safe and reliable service in 'door to door' Transport. It does this by working closely with operators, politicians, regulators and consumer / safety groups such as The Suzy Lamplugh Trust.
